... since the last news on this page - sorry for that!
Meiju enho has quit playing in Ensiferum and was substitued by Emmi Silvennoinen. For further information check the official site.
In April Ensiferum will headline the Paganfest-Tour, with Korpiklaani, Moonsorrow and others - you can get the dates on the Paganfestīs site.
With a slight delay now at this place the great news from a russischen Fanclub that named a star after Ensiferum. A really creative idea in my opinion! Here you cann see the official documents:
The Russian Ensiferum Fan Club has given the band a gift of astronomical proportions, as on their request the Russian International Star Catalogue Space Earth has denominated a star in the Ursa Major constellation after the Finnish metal band.
After some time of ambiguity it is now posted on the official site that "Victory Songs" is postponed to april:
"Dear fans!
Due to contractual obligations, promotional deadlines and manufacturing delays, we have been forced to move the release of "Victory Songs" to the 20th of April 2007!
This is very unfortunate, and weīre very sorry about the delay, but thereīs not much that we or our record companies can do to make this album hit the stores any earlier. If we could, we certainly would because we know that all of you are eager to get a listen to the new songs!
Despite this time-taking trouble, itīs going to be one killer of an album and we hope that you will have the patience to wait just a little longer!
Exactly (well, yesterday would have been exactly :-) ) 5 years ago this website saw the light of day for the first time as the leadoff of "bigger" Ensiferum sites.
The site went seasonable strong with a classic frame-based design (pictures will follow *g*) and hover-effects were also used widely!
So now let us clink the horns for another 5 years!
greets,
Matse
